The Company discovered and developed a rational design drug discovery platform for producing novel, first-in-class protein therapeutics. These recombinant proteins engage integrin receptors as agonists and impart unique integrin-modulating characteristics that impede cellular motility capabilities in primary tumors, newly growing vasculature, and metastatic foci.
The novel mechanism of action of the recombinant proteins produced from this platform, VCN and ADM01, demonstrate substantial therapeutic anti-cancer effects in six different cancer types in animal studies through anti-angiogenic and anti-metastatic activity independent of tumor type or origin and with no observed toxic effects.
